Quartz Nurses is a nurse-led organisation built on clinical excellence, strong governance, and compassionate care.
Who We Are
Quartz Nurses is a nurse-led organisation focused on delivering safe and effective community-based care across Swindon and Wiltshire.
Unlike many traditional domiciliary care agencies, our model is nurse-led and clinically focused. Our service is built around professionalism, strong clinical governance, compassionate care and modern digital systems that support safe practice.
As a developing service, we are committed to ensuring quality, safety and effective oversight from the very beginning.

Clinical Leadership
BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing, BSc (Hons) Philosophy — Registered Manager
Gloria Osa is an actively practising NMC-registered adult nurse who provides strong clinical leadership and operational oversight for Quartz Nurses. As Registered Manager, she oversees clinical governance, care quality, risk management, staff competency, safeguarding, medication safety and regulatory compliance across the service. Her leadership supports the delivery of safe, person-centred and clinically effective care within the community.
Gloria is committed to maintaining high professional standards and ensuring that all services delivered by Quartz Nurses align with the CQC Fundamental Standards, best practice guidance and robust clinical governance frameworks.
Governance
To ensure absolute safety for our clients and robust support for our lone-working nurses, we operate under a strict governance structure.
Every nurse undergoes an intensive induction process including mandatory, task-specific clinical training and closely monitored shadow shifts to verify practical competence before delivering care independently.
All nurses undergo annual, structured competency reassessments for technical clinical tasks to ensure standards are consistently maintained.
Our Registered Manager operates a round-the-clock on-call system to support field staff through complex clinical decisions at any time.
We maintain explicit emergency protocols for critical scenarios including tracheostomy displacement, oxygen failure, and IV complications.
All clinical care is mapped directly to the NMC Code and the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) Standards for Infusion Therapy.
Safeguarding, dignity, and individual rights are embedded at every level of our governance framework — not treated as a checkbox.
Quartz Nurses is currently awaiting registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as a Community Care Service for the regulated activities of Treatment of Disease, Disorder or Injury and Personal Care. We are actively preparing our governance systems and welcoming preliminary enquiries, but will not commence delivery of these regulated activities until our registration is fully approved.
We welcome enquiries from individuals, families, and healthcare professionals. Get in touch to discuss how Quartz Nurses can support your care needs.
