About Quartz Nurses
Quartz Nurses is a CQC-registered community healthcare provider delivering specialist clinical nursing services to adults at home and in community settings.
All care is delivered by qualified, NMC-registered nurses. Personal care is included where integral to the individual's treatment and nursing needs.
We welcome enquiries concerning privately and publicly funded care. Acceptance is subject to clinical assessment, service suitability, agreed funding arrangements and staffing availability.
Nursing Packages and Clinical Services
We deliver planned and commissioned nursing packages built around each person's assessed clinical needs.
- Planned and extended nursing visits — minimum booking of four hours.
- Overnight and waking-night nursing.
- Continuous 24-hour nursing packages.
- Complex clinical nursing support.
- Palliative and end-of-life nursing.
- Nursing support following hospital discharge.
- Specialist clinical interventions within our service scope and assessed staff competencies.
Professional Referrals
We welcome enquiries from commissioners, NHS Continuing Healthcare teams, hospital discharge teams, healthcare professionals and independent case managers.
To help us assess an initial enquiry, please provide:
- The area where care is required.
- The proposed hours and pattern of nursing support.
- A brief overview of the nursing support required.
- Funding status and proposed start date, if known.
Assessment and Package Planning
Following an initial discussion, we review whether the proposed package falls within our service scope and available capacity.
Suitable referrals progress to individual clinical assessment, care planning and relevant risk assessments. We then agree the proposed staffing arrangements, costs, funding and mobilisation timescale before care begins.
Clinical Leadership and Governance
Our service operates under registered nursing leadership, with clinical oversight and governance arrangements supporting safe, person-centred care.
- 24/7 clinical escalation and on-call support.
- Structured staff competency assessment and reassessment.
- Safeguarding and medication management procedures.
- Clinical risk assessment and emergency escalation protocols.
- Practice aligned with the NMC Code and CQC Fundamental Standards.
